Beautiful sunny day. Arlington Vt. was the first capitol of the state in the 1700’s. It has kept the quaint New England look and has a beautiful inn right in the center of town. Went down to the local country store and got fishing licenses. The campground has great access to the river and we found a great place. Spent a couple hours on the river, but no luck. Sandi left a her favorite “wooley bugger” in a tree. (Hard to catch fish in trees….)
While we were fishing Ken spotted a beautiful Scarlet Tanager. The bird is a scarlet red with black wings. We had never seen one up close and it was a real treat.
Ken has decided he has a goal now… ice cream in every state so sure enough we went back to the Dairy Bar for ice cream.
The campground was nice and very quiet this time of year.
